Emily Wilkinson is an interdisciplinary creative communicator who works with visual concepts, language and narrative to communicate ideas and information with meaning. As part of the London team at Reos Partners, she is working on illustration and design for The Finance Lab, creative direction on the Metropolitan Agriculture Innoversity. She is also working internally to develop visual communication and brand identity.
She has recently completed an MA in Design Futures at Goldsmiths University during which she wrote about communicating our ability to respond within a creative practice and everyday life. Other areas covered within Emily’s year of study included the effects of visual messaging on well-being, drawing and illustration as emotive communication and the relationship between word and image. During this time she worked as a freelance illustrator.
Prior to that Emily worked as a designer at Futerra Sustainability Communications, where she worked with clients in the public, private and corporate sectors to visually communicate their activities regarding climate change and sustainability.
Emily has also worked in Wales as a graphic designer in a creative agency, following completion of her bachelors degree in Graphic Communication at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff where she focused on illustration.
Her professional approach emphasises catalysing creativity of all kinds for positive change (both at an individual and collective level), and combines her visual work with a strong interest in psychology and therapy. As part of this research she is currently involved with a Healing Arts project at a hospital in her local community.
Drawing and illustration are Emily’s particular passion, and alongside her work at Reos she continues to develop her own practice as an illustrator and writer at her home in South London.
