Scenario exercises enable teams of actors to create and work with stories about how the system they are part of might—not will, not should—unfold. Such stories enable a strategic conversation that is exceptionally logical and challenging, inclusive and holistic, collective and constructive, and choice-eliciting and generative. Scenarios illuminate systemic dynamics and thereby help actors re-think their strategies and actions.
